§ 41-1. Office created.

The Town Board of the Town of Rye believes it to be important that the office of Deputy Receiver of Taxes be created. The Town Board of the Town of Rye further believes that it is in the public interest to be able to appoint to said office individuals that have experience in the Office of the Receiver of Taxes, but who might not accept any such position for fear of losing Civil Service protection. Therefore, the Town Board of the Town of Rye hereby adopts a local law clarifying that any such individual shall not be deemed ineligible by reason of incompatibility of office or any other reason.
